PET Live In London Album
The new PET Live In London album is mixed, mastered and ready to be released!
It features eleven songs recorded at the legendary East-London club Cargo
in May 2007.
You can listen to some of the songs in the Audio-section of this site.
'Live In London' will be released on the 20th of August and will be available
as digi-download worldwide on iTunes and Amazon.

New PET (Demo) Album
Yes, the rumours are true, the new PET album will be called "Very Important".
It is not completly finished yet - there are two or three songs missing -
so we still call it "demo", but it is getting more and more of an
album.
The first "Very Important"- sessions took place in March 2008 in
our studio in Berlin, but after the collapse of Gronland Records, we decided
to take a longer break and focus on other things - the label situation was
just too frustrating for us.
Recently we started to continue with the work on the album and now we are
in the process of writing, recording, experimenting and mixing. We think it
is going to be a wonderful album with a quite advanced mixture of electronics
and acoustic sounds. We will give it all the time it needs to finish "Very
Important" and find new partners to release it.
For those who can't wait: listen to the three new demos in the audio section.

New Whip My Blue Chip Live Video
Brandnew and rather fantastic: the video of "Whip my Blue Chip"
Live at Max Schmeling Halle, Berlin.
The video was filmed by Tobias Frank at PETs legendary support show for a
guy called James Blunt in front of 8000 people in Berlin. Editing and postproduction
was done by Miss Mono.

Miss Mono & Andre Live Theatre Performance at HAU 2 Berlin
Miss Mono and Andre performed live at HAU2, Berlin for Jörg
Buttgereits Filmlektionen (Rough Cuts)
They played a coverversion of "Bela Lugosi's dead" by Bauhaus and
also did some scary B-movie soundeffects for the theatre performance.

Goodbye Gronland Records
In the middle of the production of our third album we got the sad news that
our label Gronland Records stopped all their business activities and closed
down their offices in London and Berlin- due to "the very difficult market
situation" (Label owner Herbert Groenemeyer).
Thanks very much for your support over the last years.

Get Your Share: Cloud Nine Cover by Fink
Check out Fink's great cover version of PET's "Cloud Nine"
on his 2007 album
"Distance And Time" (under the name "Get Your Share")
out on Ninja Tunes.
Fink originally was asked by Gronland Records and PET to do a remix of the
track for
the Cloud Nine UK Radio Promo ep - which he actually did.
He quite liked the song and eventually he decided to record his own stripped
down and
minimal acoustic version for his new album.
We think the new arrangement and the interpretation of the song is quite nice.

MET in Berlin PET Remix
We just finished a cool remix of "A.M.E.R.I.K.A." by french singer
Vivie. The song was recorded to promote the Impressionist exhibition "MET
in Berlin" at the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin. The CD will be released
during the next days and will be available at the shop of the museum. It features
the original version together with PET's remix.

AF Concerti Is PET's New Booking Agent For Italy
We are very happy to announce that we will work from now on with the agency
AF Concerti for our italian liveshows.
At the moment we are planning some festival gigs for summer and a tour in
autumn in Italy.
Due to a change of the distributor (it used to be Self and is now Audioglobe),
the album will be re-released during the next days and will be available in
the shops all over Italy again.

New "Whip My Blue Chip" Video
The great and quite glamorous new clip for the new PET single "Whip My
Blue Chip" by german filmdirector Michael Dreher is finally finished.
Dreher, a master of merciless realism, was the first person ever who was allowed
to bring a camera
into
PET's secret private home. He managed to capture some beautiful and magic
moments of the
daily live of frontman Andre Abshagen on film. While the rest of the band
was out and probably
enjoyed the summer, you can see Andre working hard for art, thinking about
serious chess problems and performing revolutionary dancing steps with his
two muses and a couple of good old friends.
A celebration and also a glamourous document of everyday life.
